Terms & Conditions for Custom Orders

  • Design details must be decided on at the time of your order. Once you approve a sketch, we use exactly that sketch to create your first prototype—you cannot make changes for this prototype after approval, but revisions may be possible for future prototypes.
  • Minor design changes (such as adjusting sleeve fit, skirt, pants, or hem length, or raising/lowering a neckline) are allowed at no additional cost, as long as they stay within the original sketch design. For details on what’s considered a minor vs. major change, please refer to our SEMI vs. FULL custom guide.
  • If you request changes that go beyond the original sketch, you will be billed hourly for design and pattern work. If these changes require a second prototype, you will also be charged for the additional time and materials needed to create the new prototype.
  • You will have one week to evaluate your prototype. This sample remains the property of Satin Stitches. Please do no mark or alter the prototype in any way. Use pins, photos and notes to illustrate any requested fit or style changes. You are responsible for returning this prototype promptly back to Satin Stitches. You will lose your place in our production schedule and any Early Bird Discounts if your prototype is not returned in a timely manner.
  • Once you have selected fabrics and trims – we order enough for your entire order. If you change your mind at any point, you will be billed for this fabric, even if we don’t use it. The materials will remain property of Satin Stitches.
  • Your number of costumes needs to be decided at the time of your order. Additional costumes may be added if we have enough fabric and trim, but you may NOT decrease the number.
  • Sizes must be provided no later than when your sample is approved. Not doing so could delay your order.
  • It is YOUR responsibility to choose the correct sizes. You may determine your sizes by checking our sizing charts and with the help of our generic sizing samples. We try to help in every way with this decision – so please contact us with questions.
  • All custom costumes must be paid in full before we ship your final order. Shipping will not be scheduled until full payment is received.
  • Once your order is submitted, it cannot be canceled.
